In this webinar, the RN and case manager reviewed the clinical signs and symptoms of eating disorders by diagnoses covering anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, and AN-DM1. I thought this webinar was valuable to better understand the severity of cases seen in in-patient eating disorder care. I also learned more about AN-DM1, which I did not know much about before which was very beneficial.

Additionally, the importance of food pantries on college campuses were addressed to highlight a lesser known population of food insecure individuals. I loved that they addressed the college aged population, as this is a very real and close issue to me.

Although I learned of trauma informed care relatively recently, I thought it was important for me to continue learning about this topic as I believe it to be very important when caring for populations with eating disorders, as many patients will have concurring trauma that also affects their eating.
